Snowmobiler injured in Ontonagon County (The Iron Mountain Daily News) WAKEFIELD - An Illinois man was injured in a snowmobile accident that occurred late Thursday night on Lake Gogebic in Ontonagon County. Troopers from the Wakefield post of the Michigan State Police said that the accident happened near the north end of the lake. The man was transported to Aspirus Ontonagon Hospital for treatment of substantial injuries, said troopers.

IDOC officer killed in crash (Chicago Tribune) An Illinois Department of Corrections parole officer was killed Sunday afternoon in a four-vehicle crash in southwest suburban New Lenox Township. The crash on the Interstate 80 closed all eastbound traffic for about three-and-half hours, while investigators worked, officials said.
